Connecting With Pen and Paper

I just put down my pen.

The page smeared a bit. Oh well.

You know the wrist ache after filling pages in your notebook? Ah, refreshing. But here’s the thing.

Writing down your thoughts on a piece of paper does something to your brain. Sense of accomplishment? Less strain on your eyes? Knowing you can quickly revisit your documented brilliance?

Warning: You may experience all of these sensations.

Don’t always pick the convenient option.

Your phone is right there. I know, just shove your cute little face in front of it and unlock the literal universe.

The notes app is brilliant. Voice memos are the ultimate note-taking hack. Let me explain.

When you know the internet is a tap away, it’s easy to lose focus. Do you struggle with writing ideas digitally? Maybe that’s not your issue. That’s incredible. But be careful. Before you know it you’ll be on a vertical video rabbit hole.

Writing your ideas with pen and paper creates an experience.

This experience varies. You don’t want your paper to be full of errors and fierce scratching that bleeds through the other side of the page. It easily becomes difficult to read. Just admit it. Nothing feels quite like a full page of notes in your beautiful handwriting.

Physically writing on paper makes every letter intentional.
